***Comments*** Weaponeer & LockNReload do a little Run and Gun practice for the upcoming Outbreak:Omega Zombie 3-Gun Shoot. I forgot my thigh holster rig, so I ran a normal holster, and loaded my mags so I didn’t expect a reload, and an old mag didn’t hold the bolt back, all adding to good practice. As a cane user, I cannot run too far, and the rang was too far, so rather than run the last bit of the course with the pistol, I just shot the pistol targets at long range, which I’m perfectly fine with. I practice at 25 yards minimum for pistol, and shoot out to 100 yards with pistol, so I don’t feel the need to run when I can just engage at rifle distances with the pistol. we were only able to make a couple runs before the range was too busy. I have found that at 45 years old, and a disabled veteran, with a number of old injuries, including being a partial hand amputee, this course proved I’m better suited as a sniper (moving is not my strong point) lol

@tracycolorado – my RodeVideomic is on a shock absorbing system, and it just was not designed for running… lol I thought it sounds pretty odd myself. I would like to use a steadycam or halo for run and guns (and someone else to do the running)

@slinkydog2222 – the vest was purchased on line (the name is in several text replys) the backpack is really a vehicle hydration carrier (shorter than the normal hydration carrier) made by EMDOM

@Derail07 I like to have someone else load my mags so i don’t know how many rounds are inside, and it helps to have an empty case in there as well. very funny to watch (looks a lot like my run.. lol) this way you don’t know when you need to swap mags, or if your rifle will go click, or jam, forcing you to clear the rifle. I would rather focus on rifle skills than speed, because if you are being shot at, speed comes naturally.. lol
@sovietsks45 – it’s a camera shooting a rifle point of view shot, and not an iPod. I’m sure the video will be posted to locknreload’s channel.

@weaponeer – I know what you mean. I have 3 different load bearing vests myself and it takes a long time for muscle memory to set in. And even gets worse when you put on gloves. If the rounds hit that’s all that matters! Good luck happy shooting!
@Derail07 – first time doing a run and gun this year, or for me.. in a couple years. I’m never going to move like lightning.., I normally walk with a cane, and I’m a partial hand amputee, which can make my reloads entertaining. but I also shot several AR mags that had been loaded for a few years (need new springs), and all my 1911 mags were the same way, plus I loaded my mags with only a few rounds, to trip me up on the course, but all my rounds were hits especially the long range pistol shots
