@HATINTHEKAT either nightcrawlers or meal worms will work for panfish i usually like to use nightcrawlers because there cheaper and the fish seem to want them more and no thats absolutley false! the people that tell you that must not be that great of trout fisherman of course youll have your bad days were you hook a fish or 2 but if your in good trout waters with plenty of fish and the right bait you can catch 6-8 in 2 hrs i did that last weekend from 630 am til 9 am me and my friend caught 8

do meal worms work better than nightcrawlers for panfish? and how long does it take to catch a trout on average? some people say they wait for hours to catch one and i wanted to see if it was true or not,

@jfunk54 Nope, I fish in the heart of Orange Count, CA. I get way more fish on microjigs and other tiny lures.

You will get fish on spinners, but the real deal is the Nymphs and Micro Grubs, try em out! Just cast out, let em sink, then hop and skip it along them bottom. Try this: Simply tie a small baitholder on the line, connect a nymph, or grub, then pinch a tiny split-shot, and slide it down against the bait, kinda like a jighead.

Try the watermelon Thomas Buoyant.

@mmmmmarcus im guessing you stream fish alot more than me lol there isnt many good streams around here so i just use power bait and spinners in small lakes and ponds

I dont really like using powerbait trout dough.. I prefer tossing out power nymphs, trout worms flylined, or tiny powerbait micro grubs.

And I dont use treble hooks! I prefer tiny baitholders.

You have any videos on how to use the power bait stuff. I bought some a while back and I dont think I’m using it right. Just rolling it in a ball and puting it on the hook
