default Muzzleloader Deer Hunting 2012

Flintlock Deer Hunting 2012. Late season deer hunting with flintlock muzzleloaders.
Video Rating: 4 / 5

A doe my wife killed on the last day of the NC deer season in 2005… picked out the biggest doe of 6 that came in and dropped her at 85 yards… one shot, one kill! Sorry for the shaky footage, I left my tripod in the truck and it was cold and rainy that morning…

Nice video guys, the only thing missing is the detail on how hard you probably had to work to get that deer. Looks like you were out their for a while, well done.

I’ve never seen a deer cross a fast moving river like that, pretty cool, you guys must have pushed the crap out of that deer to make it cross like that. neat stuff

@theCodKiid Even if they did shoot a fawn it would be called deer management.

@greatsantini7 shane was small game hunting. You must wear orange for small game but for late season deer hunting no orange is required.

Leatherwood outdoors is awesome. Some of the coolest hunting videos on youtube. It looks like yall have a fine piece of property to play on.

Always enjoy your videos fellas!! Nice job getting the shot of the deer crossing the river. Never seen that before. I didn’t expect that Doe to be so aware when she got out of the water but, it didn’t take her long to figure something wasn’t right!

i was completely unaware that they make modern style flintlocks, that is a gorgeous looking smoke stick, what is the make and model, and what do they run on cost?

Dropped my first doe using a 30-30 from 70 yards with iron sights…

Written By crazycool7777 on February 27th, 2012 @ 21:16

@gerowen its all in the shot you can shoot it with a 30-30 and drop. some people shoot them in the neck and drops them but the heart is where i lace mine

#28
Written By DeerHunter7485 on February 27th, 2012 @ 21:37

Holy crap I shot a doe right in the killzone with a 30-30 and it still ran about 20 yards before falling. Glad I’m picking up a 30-06 if it’s got that kind of stopping power, I’m lazy and don’t want to have to track down my dinner after I took the time to find and shoot it.

@steelersfan3898 i’m not a pro but all u need is 150 grain bullets. i’ve killed over 20 deer with my 30 06 and they drop like rocks. your choice of course but really just tearing up more meat with 180′s.
