Pistol laser sights are installed onto your pistol to aid you in shooting in low light and in full dark.  Laser sights have been used for years in the military on rifles and on sub machine guns, however, it is now common to have a laser pistol sight for your personal firearm.  Pistol sights not only aid you in shooting in the dark, but they can also improve the accuracy of your shot in the daylight.  That is because the act of shooting involves learned body movements that are memorized and then done again and again.  When you learn the right way to shoot using a laser pistol sight, then any later shots are typically done right as well.

Pistol sights of old merely had cross hairs that you saw when you looked through a telescoping lens.  Today’s laser sights give you not only a view of the target, but also aim a red or green light right onto the target.  You can visually follow the path of the bullet straight to the target.  Being able to visualize this path enables you to become a more accurate shot.  Accuracy then breeds confidence.  Confidence in handling a pistol is the ultimate goal for any gun owner.

Laser sights offer you an advantage in home protection and self defense.  You not only get an accurate shot and confidence in handling your gun, but you will “see them coming” and the intruder does not benefit from the cover of darkness when you employ a laser pistol sight.  You can see the intruder better than he sees you.  You also avoid the situation of shooting your own relative who arrives unexpectedly in the night because the laser points light onto the target and you can see them before pulling the trigger.  This adds to a heightened feeling of gun safety.

Gun safety leads to gun confidence.  The more confident you are with your handgun, the more your advantage, especially in a real life situation.
