@Hoolcore- No. The hunter was testing a Bushmaster .450 Thumper. It is a .45 caliber, 300 grain bullet traveling at 2200 feet per second.

@tatewaki11 erm… so the “boo-hooing over the poor pigs” is NOT getting under your skin? It sounds suspiciously as though you are saying the same thing I am getting at, please clarify.

@GriffGruff78 erm…no.

especially because the words “hog hunting” are in the title, so i anyone doesnt like seeing hogs getting killed they should decide whether or not they want to watch this video. plus u have to be over 18 to watch this anyway.

Is the boo-hooing in here about poor pigs getting under anyone else’s skin?

@puretexan254 We used to harvest 10 or more in an afternoon baying with dogs. They seem to have figured out not to turn and fight, now we only seem to get single boars and whatever piglets the dogs can kill. Very, very difficult to trap now, just get stupid 1st year pigs and not very often. My hunting partner and I are trying to get geared up for exclusively nocturnal operations. Can’t do it quite as fancy as these Georgia boys, but same technique with cheap toys.

@cabo02 Hogs dont see well period. They rely on smell more than hearing and hearing more than sight.

@puretexan254- $13,500 for each thermal rifle scope and $18,000 for each thermal long range spotting scope. Currently, there are no thermal scopes on the civilian market which perform well enough to recommend. They all have a history of either cracked housings, zero retention issues or substandard performance. We have tested them all and they are a complete waste of your money. We plan to have a 320 x 240 thermal scope available to civilians for hog and coyote control by the end of the year.

@TheZoelzer2- Why is it always an 18 year old gamer making ignorant comments about a subject you know absolutely nothing about? American farmers lose millions of dollars in crop damage annually to these invasive species. Another threat is the transmission of pseudorabies and swine brucellosis to domestic pork. Feral hogs are NOT game animals. They are pests; just like flies, termites, rats and roaches. I’m sending a PM to educate you about the feral hog problem as it relates to agriculture.

@TheZoelzer2 STFU you vegetarian mother fucker! If you’re not vegetarian, then you are hypocrite. You eat pig, these are pigs, what’s the difference? Hunting is actually more humane then most slaughter houses. If we didn’t hunt animals, our ancestors would’ve never survived.

@barnyl69l- We have been working with a manufacturer for the past year to offer a thermal scope to civilians which can handle .308 caliber recoil. We already offer a 320×240 resolution thermal monocular to civilian hunters on our website for $7499. Our 320×240 resolution thermal scope will be available (Fall 2010) for $9,999. Join our e-mail newsletter through our website or subscribe to our YouTube channel as we post new videos using our hog control products when they become available.
