The Wild pig was established in New Zealand in the 1700′s. They were brought over by early sailors. Since then they have  spread throughout the country. Wild pigs colours vary dramaticly and is a descendant of domestic pigs.Wild pigs are a very popular game animal in New Zealand. The most widly used method of hunting for pigs is with dogs.A Big Boar can weigh up to 300lb and sport 3inch ivory tusks. Pigs have very good eye sight and a keen scense of smell which makes them a very challenging animal to hunt.  Wild pigs range includes most of New Zealand.
